Dr. Vishal K. Jain received his Medical Degree from The Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He spent the next three years training at The Royal College of Physicians in London. He was certified as a member of The Royal College of Physicians. He came to the United States to pursue further medical training and did a Residency in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Hospital/ Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He was then chosen to be the Chief Resident at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Jain then completed a three year Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Liver Disease at Penn State University/Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.
His expertise includes disorders of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, including oncology and inflammatory bowel disease. He has extensive training in liver disorders and advanced training in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, Motility, ERCP and Enteroscopy.
His research was awarded the Presidential Poster Award of Distinction at the American College of Gastroenterology Annual meeting and was one of the few fellows selected to win the Crohns and Colitis Foundation Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellow scholarship at Mount Sinai Hospital, NY. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He was named a “NJ Top Doc” in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Dr. Jain enjoys running and spending time with his 2 daughter’s and wife. He runs half marathons often and has done 2 full marathons so far.
