Dr. Pacifico A. Magahis completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and his internal medicine residency at New York University Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York and graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. Dr. Magahis is board certified in Gastroenterology. He is also a past awardee of the Ocean Medical Center Physician of the Year Award and was named a “NJ Top Doc” 2017 and 2018.
His expertise includes biliary and pancreatic diseases, Barrett’s esophagus, GERD, Inflammatory Bowel Disease- Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis, colon cancer screening, gastrointestinal cancer, and celiac disease. He performs specialized interventional and advanced procedures such as ERCP with stent placement, HALO ablation therapy for Barrett’s esophagus, and Endoscopic Ultrasound with fine needle aspiration for malignant and benign gastrointestinal conditions. He is an active member of the community and in his church, and is happily married with three children.
