Dr. Kenny Chiu graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics in 1995. In 1999, he received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Subsequently, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Presbyterian-Cornell Medical Center, from 1999 to 2002. In June 2005, he completed a three-year fellowship in Gastroenterology and Liver Disease at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He has been practicing down here in the Jersey Shore ever since. He has won awards such as the Ocean Medical Center Physician of the Year and most recently was named a “NJ Top Doc” 2017 and 2018.
His expertise includes cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disease. He specializes in advanced procedures such as ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Halo Barrx for ablation of Barrett’s esophagus and Small Bowel Capsule Endoscopy.
