Dr. Brian Wolfman completed his medical and gastroenterology/hepatology training at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to completing his medical training, Dr. Wolfman received his BS from Ohio University and a Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University in Miami, Florida. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from St George’s University School of Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Wolfman’s field of expertise includes disorders of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract including inflammatory bowel disease, Celiac disease, oncology and Barrett’s esophagus with therapeutic BARRX ablation. He has extensive training in hepatobiliary diseases such as viral hepatitis and has advanced training in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and small bowel video capsule endoscopy.
Dr. Wolfman is very involved in the community as well as with people with special needs. He was named the Health Care Provider of the Year in 2013 by the ARC of Ocean County for his compassion and years of service. He was named a “NJ Top Doc” in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. He is an advocate for colorectal cancer screening and routinely gives community talks to promote screening colonoscopies and colon health.
In his free time, Dr. Wolfman enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and three children.
